WHAT ARE YOU COOKING??

MTL Sauce Piquante is a tropical punk rock label from Montreal, a village dressed up as a city. The music was born during a summer of late-night parties where, after their regular gigs and festival appearances, the best musicians in town would come hang out in Oonga's living room, jamming and recording until the sun came up. Luckily the neighbours were on vacation.

The music of our first album, Cracher le feu aka Spitting Fire aka Fuego en la garganta is inspired by late night kitchen party sing-alongs, les BBQ de chez nous, loud music dans l'parc, and the joyful songs shared by happy people enjoying each other's company. We want everyone to feel welcome at our table, that’s why we sing in so many languages. We’ve been cooking up a storm pis ça commence à être prêt là, we're gona start bringing out some appetizers for your ears!

MTL Sauce Piquante Vol. 1 aka Cracher le feu aka Spitting Fire aka Fuego en la Garganta is a 10 track album recorded in a living room with a cheap microphone and a broken guitar by a bunch of friends, who happen to be some of the best musicians in the multicultural metropolis of Montreal.

Vocalists include trilingual rapper and singer Maï (Paraguay), Brazilian friends and scene heroes Bianca Rocha and Diogo Ramos, Mexican urbano artist Gioco, the well-known Colombian electropicalista Ramon Chicharron, influential Salvadoran MC Chellz, Mexican dub punk queen Ultra K, Peruvian rumba princess Elo Sono, the wild card rappa turnt sanga KC aka Mighty Sampson, hypnotizing Venezuelan songstress Ansoara, and Peruvian punk rock luchador Eskeleto.
